Dexter Hamilton

Dexter came to us at 10 months old. His first mommy had prepared and saved money to provide the best possible home for him but, through circumstances beyond her control, she was unable to keep him. Our only child at the time (Mikata) welcomed Dexter with open paws. They grew up together and were best of friends.

When we lost Mikata to cancer of the heart 2 years ago, Dexter was beside himself with grief. He has mostly recovered and we are now on the look out for a second dog to keep him company.

Red Sex Link Chickens

We purchased twelve Red Sex Link day-old chicks from Baker’s Feed Store. And true to their name we ended up with a Baker’s dozen. So now there are thirteen noisy little divas living in a very large cardboard box on our dining room table.

There are times when I’m sure they are playing tackle football or Aussie rules footie in there because of the noise. And other times when they could lead a meditation session.

We are pushing to finish off reinforcing their permanent coop so they can be moved outside soon.
